Barb, Practice Manager

Barb originally joined Whitney's in 1985, with a background in accounting, to do the payroll on a part-time basis. Her responsibilities have evolved and changed many times. She was the office manager for 11 years and has been the practice manager since 1999. As our Practice Manager; her goal is to see that the business part of the practice runs smoothly; which allows the doctors to do what they love best - take excellent care of our patients.

Barb's days are filled with a variety of responsibilities; ranging from scheduling to budgeting, maintenance to marketing. We continue to look for new and better ways to serve our patients and clients. Barb loves problem solving and every day offers new opportunities to do so. Our affiliation with the AAHA has made it possible for her to attend many AAHA management meetings as well as completing 3 courses of the Veterinary Management Institute at Purdue University. She is a member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association and a management member of AAHA. The high standards of AAHA are very important to her.

She loves to travel, read and spend time with her husband, Sonny, and adult son, Tom. Barb enjoys drawing, making jewelry, bargain hunting, Pinterest and redecorating. She teaches an adult Sunday school class at her church.
